Margaret Branscombe-Kent
Margaret Branscombe-Kent was born and bred in Broadstairs. She was educated at Dane Court and Holy Cross schools, before earning a Diploma in Business Studies from Thanet Technical College. Margaret's four children all attended local state schools and her eldest granddaughter is now a pupil at Callis Grange. With her husband, Margaret ran her own design and advertising consultancy in Broadstairs for twelve years and started and ran the Broadstairs Museum, Arts and Media Centre from 2001 to 2003.
Margaret is committed to ensuring young people have adequate recreational facilities. She is committed to preserving the environment. In particular, she wants to preserve green spaces for future generations. Finally, she wants to make sure all local people have the opportunity to influence what goes on in their community.

Pat Cradduck
A resident of Broadstairs and St Peter's for over forty years, Pat Cradduck is a former Mayor of the town. She continues to play an active role in the community - she is a member of the popular St Peter's Village Tour and has recently served as Chairman of the Broadstairs Society. She is also a Governor of two primary schools - St Joseph's and St Peter's.
Pat wants the Government to introduce free personal care for the elderly in England, as it has been in Scotland where the Liberal Democrats have been sharing power.
As a grandparent, Pat is also keenly aware of the pressures on young people. She wants to ensure young people have the benefit of the highest possible quality of education, and more effort made to provide affordable leisure activities for them to enjoy in their spare time.
